What is the IQ Option ChatGPT Connector?
What it is: The IQ Option ChatGPT Connector is an independent, hosted MCP connector that links your IQ Option trading account to ChatGPT so the assistant can read your markets and — only with your permission — place trades, using OAuth and an encrypted, one-time token paste.
It builds on three things: ChatGPT connectors (custom tools you add to ChatGPT), the Model Context Protocol — the open standard that lets assistants call external tools — and your IQ Option account. The Model Context Protocol specification states it is an open protocol that standardizes how applications provide context to LLMs.
Because ChatGPT cannot hold a static API key, connection goes through our gateway rather than a pasted Bearer header: you add the URL https://iqoptiongpt.com/mcp/<market>, ChatGPT runs OAuth, and you paste your IQ Option token on our consent page — never into ChatGPT itself.

How do I connect IQ Option to ChatGPT?
You connect IQ Option to ChatGPT in three to four steps on a desktop browser: enable Developer Mode, create a connector pointing at https://iqoptiongpt.com/mcp/<market>, then authorize via OAuth and paste your IQ Option token on our consent page. There is no one-click install link for a custom connector — Developer Mode is a one-time manual toggle, so the steps below are the fastest verified path.
Before you start
- A paid ChatGPT plan on web — Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. The free plan cannot add custom connectors.
- Set up on a computer browser (not the mobile app). On Business/Enterprise/Edu, a workspace admin must enable Developer Mode.
- Your IQ Option access token ready (see "Where to get your IQ token" below). Allow pop-ups for chatgpt.com.
Enable Developer Mode
Developer Mode is required to add a custom connector and only needs to be turned on once.
- Open chatgpt.com in a desktop browser and sign in to your paid plan.
- Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors (a.k.a. "Apps" / "Connectors").
- Open Advanced settings and toggle Developer mode ON.
- Accept the risk-warning dialog. (Memory auto-disables while Developer mode is on — that's expected.)
Create the connector
The Create option only appears with Developer mode on. Add one connector per market.
- Click Create (a.k.a. "Create app" / "Add custom connector").
- Name it per market, e.g. "IQ Option GPT — Digital Options". Keep any description plain.
- In the MCP Server URL field (a.k.a. "Connector URL"), paste
https://iqoptiongpt.com/mcp/digital-options. - Set Authentication = OAuth (no client id/secret — PKCE is automatic), tick "I trust this application", then Create.
Authorize & paste your IQ token
ChatGPT runs OAuth and opens our consent page on iqoptiongpt.com — your token is pasted there, never into ChatGPT.
- In the OAuth pop-up, on our consent page, paste your IQ Option token and click Allow access.
- Approve ChatGPT's built-in consent prompt.
- ~30-second hang? A known ChatGPT bug shows "Request timeout" — your token is already issued. Close and retry Create; the second attempt usually works (it may appear under "Drafts"). Then open the connector and click Refresh to verify the tools list.
Use it in a chat
Connectors are off per-conversation by default, so enable yours before prompting.
- Open a new chat, click + (or "Tools"), and turn the market connector on for that chat.
- Prompt in plain language, naming the app — e.g. "Using IQ Option, show my balances."
- For write/trade actions, review the card and click Confirm (keep "Ask before making changes" on).
- Repeat steps 2–3 with the other market URLs to add CFD, Crypto and Forex.
What can ChatGPT do with IQ Option?
With the connector enabled, ChatGPT can read your IQ Option data and market state at any time, and can act — place orders and close positions — only when your token permits trading. Reading is always available; trading is opt-in and is decided by the IQ Option token you paste, not toggled on this site.
Read — always on
Balances, positions, open orders, candles, available assets and trade history across all four markets. This is the default posture and works with a read-only token.
Act — opt-in
Place limit, stop and market orders and close positions. Whether this is allowed is a property of your IQ Option token — use a read-only token to disable trading entirely.
Confirmation-gated, demo-first
ChatGPT shows a confirmation card before any order is sent and waits for your Confirm. Keep "Ask before making changes" on, and keep the demo balance selected while you test.

Trade permission lives in your IQ Option token, not in this connector — tick only the markets you want ChatGPT to trade when you create the token, or create a read-only token to keep everything analysis-only.
Which markets are supported?
Four markets are supported, each with its own connector URL: Digital Options, CFD, Crypto and Forex. Add one connector per market in ChatGPT; one IQ Option token works across all four. Copy the URL you need below and paste it into the MCP Server URL field in step 2.
Where do I get my IQ Option token?
Create your access token in IQ Option under Settings → AI integrations. Pick which markets may trade (read is always on), then copy the token — it's shown only once. You'll paste it on our consent page during step 3; it is never typed into ChatGPT.
- In IQ Option (web or app), open Settings → AI integrations.
- Tap + Add integration, name the token and set an expiry.
- Tick which markets may trade — leave them all unticked for a read-only token if you only want analysis.
- Copy the token immediately — it is displayed once. Keep it handy for the consent page.

Is the IQ Option ChatGPT connector safe?
Your IQ Option token is encrypted at rest and is never handed to ChatGPT. ChatGPT only ever holds short-lived OAuth tokens that are bound to this connector, reading is the default, trades are confirmation-gated on the ChatGPT side, and you can revoke access at any time.

ChatGPT receives only audience-bound OAuth access tokens (1-hour, with rotating refresh). Your IQ token stays server-side and is injected for you.

Remove the connector in ChatGPT, or revoke the token in IQ Option → Settings → AI integrations — requests stop working immediately.
You stay in control of trades
Trading is opt-in via your token's permissions, and ChatGPT asks before any change. You are responsible for any AI-initiated trades; capital is at risk.

How do I disconnect IQ Option from ChatGPT?
On web, open ChatGPT Settings → Apps & Connectors, select the IQ Option connector and remove it. You can also revoke the underlying access at the token level in IQ Option → Settings → AI integrations, which immediately stops all requests made with that token.
